HB Co-founder and CEO Andy Berg Named "Top 100 Independent Financial Adviser" by Barron's

Berg nominated for client service, assets under management

ATLANTA - Aug. 28, 2008 - Andrew “Andy” J. Berg, founding principal of Atlanta-based Homrich Berg, a fee-only wealth management firm, was named as one of the Top 100 Independent Financial Advisers by Barron’s in the magazine’s Aug. 18 issue.

To be considered for the honor, an adviser must first be nominated and then complete a detailed questionnaire and interview process. The roster was compiled on behalf of the magazine by securities-industry consulting firm, Winner’s Circle. Selection criteria include the adviser’s assets under management, his or her contribution to the firm’s revenue and profits and quality of service provided.

Berg, also CEO of Homrich Berg, co-founded the firm in 1989. He is currently a member of the American Institute of CPAs Personal Financial Planning Division, Georgia Society of CPAs, The Financial Planning Association, The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, North Atlanta Tax Council, the Georgia Planned Giving Council and the Atlanta Estate Planning Council.

Andy also serves on the Board of Directors for Andrade Faxon Charities for Children, the Leadership Council for the American Diabetes Association and the Buckhead Coalition. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in management accounting from Purdue University.

“It is certainly an honor to be recognized by Barron’s alongside many of the nation’s most well-respected advisers,” said Berg. “My success can truly be attributed to our strong team, as well as our clients, who trust us to make the right financial decisions on their behalf.”
