Andy Berg Receives HONORS Award

ATLANTA - Mar. 8, 2011 - FPA of Georgia presented Andy Berg, CFP®, PFS, CEO of Homrich Berg with the 2011 HONORS Award late last week at their regional conference.  The HONORS program was established to give recognition to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the Financial Planning profession.  People who are recognized are strong supporters of the Financial Planning Process and give of themselves to help others grow professionally.  They exhibit high ethical standards, place their clients' interests first and generally have a positive impact on both clients and professional colleagues.  In short, these persons are role models deserving of respect and the recognition of their peers.

Andy Berg's leadership, client impact, industry and community involvement, as well as recognition from his peers, positioned him as an outstanding recipient of this award.

"All of us here at Homrich Berg are proud of Andy's accomplishments and service to the financial community.  Andy has been a pioneer in the Southeast for independent objective fee-only wealth management combining financial planning and investment management for clients.  The firm's growth to over $2 billion of assets under management in twenty years is a testament to the impact Andy has had in our community," said Tony Guinta, fellow partner at Homrich Berg.  "We could not think of a more deserving individual," said Kendall Borchardt, FPA of Georgia President.
